This JUST Happened

NSYNC's "No Strings Attached" has been named album of the decade! Suck on that BSB! Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Jonas Brothers. When released, the album sold almost 2 million copies its first week. And, where are they now? I'm too lazy to research, but I know Lance is gay, Joey does red carpet garbage with Lisa Rinna for TV Guide Network, J.C. judges teen dancers, Chris has his fashions on the runway of Paris, and Justin's working at a McDonald's. Oh, to be young again and stalk them around the Midwest with my homies Cori and Catherine. Those were the days...*sigh.*

Click this link for some classic NSYNC pics. Thanks, Yahoo!

The Really New MMC

M ac
M ouse
C ount

This is what MMC stands for now. Mice are taking over my kitchen, and I HATE them. I now know what bloodlust feels like, for every morning I wake up, I hope I find another one in a trap, snapped in two. We've gotten SIX dead since Wednesday, and I fear there are more from whence they came.
They are NOT cute, like wee Justin and Britney. They are not sweet and lovable, like Jacques and Gus Gus. They are furry little menaces with beady, black eyes, and I hope the gang of them camping out in our walls meet theur demise soon.

So come down the alley of death (the space between the fridge and microwave, where they scurry out), little ones, and meet your end. Mooooowahahaha!

First Christmas Dinner--O.M.G.

I have promised Husband to attempt a Christmas Dinner this year (which will actually take place on Boxing Day, but still). We're going for bird, stuffing, roasted potatoes, the whole nine. I am scared. I have so much to live up to. His Mum makes a GREAT Christmas dinner, and I have to try to replicate it. Oh. My. Goodness. I'm so scared. So, what do I do? Who do I turn to? My favorite Brit chefs, of course!

No, I'm not talking about Two Fat Ladies! I'm enlisting Nigeller and Jamie for some yuletide help.

I just received Nigella Lawson's Christmas cookbook. While sifting through all of the cocktails and buxom shots of her rack, I think I found some interesting recipes that I can attempt. Jamie Oliver's website is chock full of awesome Christmas ideas/recipes, AND I still watch his Christmas DVD every year (thank you, Brother-in-Law).

It's a daunting task, but I think I'm up for it? Now, does anyone know where I can get some goose fat for them roast potatoes?

Robbie to Settle Down

It's finally happened, folks. Ole Robbie has decided to settle down*. His fiancee is AMERICAN, Ayda Field. This was perceived as a joke at first, since he popped the question on a radio show, but his mum assures the world it's the real deal.

Welcome to married life, Robbie. Hope you stay on the straight and narrow and enjoy it. (No pun intended, Mr. Bill.)

*Yes, this happened 11 days ago, but I'm just checkin' in with the bloggy-blog now, so SORRY!

WOW

Sooooooo much has happened in the last few weeks! I can't believe I've been away so long. Well, doesn't it always happen this time of year? If you've kept up with me in the past, you know I LOVE Christmas, and this year has been jolly so far!

  • I've got four trees up at home, but if anyone has any advice on where to find a cute one for a cute baby, let me know.
  • Because of all the things that have been going on, I only just got my classroom decs up TODAY! It's so much merrier already!

  • I've mourned the passing of a dear student, who will be missed for the rest of my days I'm sure.

  • We celebrated the coming of my 30th year (what! what!), Thanksgiving, and the babe's baptism. Busy, busy!!!

  • We also had brother-in-law come and go. Husband finally had someone to talk football with, and I'm sorry the comradeship is gone.

  • I also saw an awesome movie TWICE. (You know I'm talkin' 'bout New Moon.)
The holiday season is in full throw, papers are piling up to grade, cause all I want to do is watch Christmas movies, and school only has 8 more days before break. I better get that red pen markin'! Or, in my case, blue, pink, green, and orange pens--I hate using red.

And, WHY a picture of Jamie Oliver? Cause it's Christmas, and I always watch his Christmas special...DUH! ;)
