Whatever Happened To...

...BBMAK!?! I was listening to their CD "Sooner or Later*" tonight while I was cooking dinner, and it's just so GOOD. So light, poppy, and fresh (just like I want my muffins to be). They wrote consistently good material, did an outstanding job live (saw them twice), and they're nowhere to be seen. If possible, their sophomore effort, "Into Your Head," was even better than their first. They were the quiet in the middle of the early 2000's boyband storm. And since they wrote their own tunage and had genuine talent, they were lost in the shuffle. It seemed that they paid more attention to their musical endeavors than their mass marketing campaign--novel idea for a band, huh? If you missed them, PLEASE check them out, especially if you enjoy really good pop music--the stuff that relies on harmonies, tight chords, and excellent, catch tunes. You'll be singing their songs in your head, but you'll be smiling about it, not grimacing because it's so infectious and annoying it won't leave you alone.

*"Sooner or Later" isn't even available new on amazon anymore. This is a travesty! What's more tragic is 186 people are trying to get rid of it. Idiots.
